RUBIES

RUBIES

Ruby is a crystallised aluminium oxide, and has exactly the same chemical composition as a sapphire. Only small amounts of colouring trace elements separate them. From dark red to a light pink, the ruby has proved its popularity in jewellery for hundreds of years. The finest stones come from the Mogok region in northern Myanmar (Burma). Our stock of rubies is huge and encompasses all qualities, ranging from the commercial at a few pounds per carat/stone to fine gem qualities at £1000 per ct . We carry a large variety of shapes including round (traditional & brilliant cut), oval, emerald-cut, marquise, pear, trillion, triangle, square (carrie-cut & princess), baguette, taper, cushion, and many other fancy cuts, all in a large range of sizes. To ensure we can keep as wider range as possible we import from many countries, including Thailand and India. Because of the variety available it is always best to contact us with your exact needs, which we are confident we will be able to satisfy.
