Kunzite is a variety of spodumene, renowned for its delicate pink to violet hues. The most prized shades of kunzite are a vibrant pink, closely resembling the color of a blooming lotus flower. This beautiful coloration is attributed to the presence of manganese within the crystal structure. Unlike the similarly hued morganite, which gets its color from traces of manganese in the beryl family, Kunzite's pinkness can fade when exposed to prolonged sunlight.
